Attending a wedding in Bangkok means, going to
nice hotel like western countries, having a ceremony in front, taking
the meal and all the three parties involved I a wedding comes back,
without any hassle. It’s all ready-made, have it and have a go.
But rural areas of Bangkok still have kept their
traditions alive, they follow the old customs, myths, traditions and
all that has been expected from off-road lifestyle. Like all other
cultures, the wedding in Bangkok comprises of two day ceremony.
The first day is marked by the visit of monks at
the bride’s home and they are also offered lams and other gifts, they
leave the place with best wishes for the couple and that was all for
the monks, they won’t be attending the second day, when the
celebrations will be in full swing.
The groom will be leading a procession kind of
caravan along with his family members to the Bride’s home. On the other
hand, the bride’s family will be preparing to host the guests and to
perform the rituals that constitute a wedding ceremony.

I came across during my experience of a wedding at Bangkok.
Since, village wedding is more eventful, so we have
discussed it because in the Bangkok marriages, you will just find a
signed cheque on the part of the Bride family and rest is like another
weekend party in the town, nothing worth mentioning. But there’s much
more after the Wedding in Bangkok. There are Honey-moons and dinners at
friends a family places.
