Belmont harbor recently underwent a mammoth renovation in 2004 and boasts now a walking as well as running path with ample parking facilities. Belmont harbor is home to the Chicago yacht club and is an unofficial dog beach.
This is said to be the perfect for dogs as this beach is facilitated with a fenced beach area appropriate for people traveling with canine buddy. Chicago beach activities include the facilities such as mini gym, a path for running and biking. North Avenue Beach hosts volleyball tournaments and Chicago and water show.
Evanston is to the north of Chicago and shelters five exotic beaches and offers great views of Chicago skyline. Most of these Chicago beaches have shallow water with a connoisseur of ice cream concessions making these beaches a superb destination for families.
