The Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge is the
enormous place for observing birds and wildlife. Countless migrating
species of ducks, bald eagle, wood storks, reddish egrets, rosette
spoonbills and glossy ibis are a treat to the eyes.
When you are done with adventuring in Florida,
admire the white-sand, surf and the occasional clouds or spend time
kayaking looking out for dolphin, jumping mullet, manatee and rays.
During summers in central Florida, bioluminescent
creatures light up the coastal water. You will be amazed to see
Manatee, Stingrays and dolphins glowing. Visitors and locals should not
miss this magical sight.
Florida’s Wild Nest is also known as Nature Coast.
Here adventure enthusiast kayak, snorkel along with manatee, go tubing
in the river run, paddle over the coastal wetland and dazzling rivers
and also sail along the River Withlacoohee. You can also hike to the
nearby nature trail and start fishing in the fishing ponds and feast on
the fresh catch.
