Go straight to Calagute and stay along the Calagute-Sinquerim stretch which offers you parasailing, water-skiing, banana bump rides, dolphin-spotting cruises and bungee jumping. Then next you must move to Arambol for paragliding and go-kart racing at Arpora and Verna. Some resorts offer rock climbing too. Walks and cycle tours are also popular. Horse rides and guides are also available. Have a nice adventure in Goa by taking the necessary precautions.
Safety norms, they are just in place. Back-up rescue boats, life jackets and other accessories are compulsory part of water sports. More importantly operators keep an eye on each other and let the authorities know in case of any foul play.
Those above 10 years can take part, unless specified no to do so. Every participant has to sign a legal disclaimer saying he is aware of the risks involved in the sports, the procedures are abided by and operators are exempted from any responsibility.
Unfortunately Goan waters have poor visibility due to strip mining that has contaminated the sea to a certain extent. But that doesn’t spell doom for two reasons- first, because the Goan coast has excellent sports for water sports and second, because those who have done scuba diving love the enthusiasm and weightlessness underwater, despite the lack of clear view. The biggest high is being underwater, not looking out for anything but generally looking in.
