| Some unparallel bird watching opportunities at the Aransas National wildlife refuge in Aransas Park, home to tropical birds like flamingos, heron, and the endangered whooping crane. Well another species in included in the wildlife of Houston are those of reptiles and arachnids as well.
It is home to at least 100 species of snakes, 16 of which are poisonous. They are Copper heads, water moccasins and rattle snakes. Horned toads, vinegarons, scorpions, and tarantulas, which despite their appearance and reputation are pretty harmless.
Some species look very nasty but they don’t harm the humans. An island called the Matagorda Island state park with regards to its wildlife. Thus park is located in the quiet Bay City, along the coast, one third distance from Houston to Corpus Christi.
It encompasses over 55 acres of offshore barrier islands and bay side marshes. The island has no facilities of drinking water, and the exposure to local wildlife is unparalleled. |
