Wild life in Jaipur consists of splendid parks and wild life sanctuaries. Although the pink city does not contain any wild life sanctuary or national park but the surrounded cities of Jaipur contains the national park and sanctuaries which are popular among the tourists. The wild life in Jaipur is crowded with the most endangered and rare birds and wild animals.
The state has attracted thousands of birds and wild life lovers from all over the country and the world. Ranthambore National Park: This reserve comes under the category of the tiger reserves and national parks in the country. In the year 1980 this place was given the status of the national park. This park is crowded with the 12 species of the reptile, 30 mammal species, 350 species of plants, 50 aquatic plants and 272 species of birds.
This national park is also home to the monitor lizards, leopards, sloth bears, hyenas, chitals, Indian hare, wild boars, sambars, a large variety of colorful birds and mongooses. This park is a must visit among the wild life in Jaipur.

Keoladeo National Park: This Park is also called as the Bharatpur bird sanctuary. It also comes under the category of the best national parks in the country. This national park is home to the 400 species of the birds. In the year 1985 this place was declared as the bird sanctuary. This park is home to ducks, warblers, flycatchers, larks, pipits, cormorants, wheatears, shanks, pale and stints etc.
Desert National Park: This Park is situated in the western Rajasthan and is very close to the Indo- Pak border. This is the one of the biggest national park in the country India which covers over an area of 3150 sq km. This park is home to the wild animals like desert wolves, blackbucks, Bengal foxes, hedgehogs, desert hares, desert gerbils and desert cats etc.
All the above mentioned wild life in Jaipur have sanctuaries and national parks are not basically situated in the pink city Jaipur but all these sanctuaries are very close from the pink city Jaipur.
