One of the famous tours to Moscow is the tour offered to the Yury Dolgoruky Monument. It is a statue that is dedicated to the person who founded Moscow, Prince Yury Dolgoruky.
This statue was built in the year 1954, as a celebration to the 800th anniversary of the city of Moscow. If a tourist walks up from the Kremlin along the Tverskaya Street, to the left one can see the statue. As there are no pictures of Yury Dolgoruky, the architect decided to make a statue of a Russian Knight belonging to the mid centuries. |
