building and food production.

coastal region and Portland was booming in particular. This Port became
as Shipping Port and the railroads connected Portland with San
Francisco and the transcontinental railroad fueled the economic
progress further. Thus Portland gained impetus. Oregon people depended
on the lumber and agriculture.
