Beaches in Seattle

During summer the meandering beaches of Seattle are filled with sunbathers. People throng the Alki Beach of Seattle in groups and swim in the shallow, warm salt water. This beach gives you the view of ferries leaving the Fauntleroy Terminal.

This two and a half mile beach of Seattle is has a busy bike path and narrow avenue. Skaters, cyclist and runners rove the beach. Rows of restaurant s and cafes make it a lively place. To the North is Ballard Golden Garden, which comprises of 88 acres of fields, forest and wetlands.

Its shore is rocky as well as sandy. This beach gives you the best view of Seattle. It is also a splendid place to observe the display of fireworks. The rapidly blowing wind on this beach lures windsurfers and kite-flyers. Alki Beach gives an impressive view of the islands of Puget Sound and the Olympic mountains.
