Adam Wilson in 1876 was the owner of village situated at the forefront of Lake Ontario at that times it was a part of Victoria Park Avenue, later this part was termed as Balmy Beach Park by the landlord. Scarboro Beach Amusement Park: Harry and Mabel Dorsey owned this land in 1906 for $160,000. Dorsey dream to built the largest amusement park with many attractions for the tourists, he invested $600,000 for the purpose.
On 1st June 1907, a contest was held to name the beach, which is now known as Scarboro Beach Amusement Park. A track nearby the Scarboro Beach Amusement Parks often used 6 days non-stop bicycling Marathon race.
